It’s been nearly 10 months since RigCast boarded up its windows and locked the doors. In that time, I completed a GoRuck Challenge, completed a Tough Mudder, sold a home, moved across the country, built a new home, married my best friend, and joined a new SAR team. Today, I have officially reopened the doors to RigCast. Forgive me, but it’s going to take a while for me to clean up around here because this place is getting some major renovations.
First of all, RigCast is downsizing. RigCast is now more accessible, friendlier, and skinnier than ever. You can now access RigCast from any mobile device, and it should behave naturally. I’ve also cut down on the backend features, so it should be much faster to load. The entire style has changed as well to emphasize images. Internally, RigCast is also changing how I provide content. Gone are the days of long, extremely detailed reads. It will be a challenge, but I’m going to attempt to maintain the same level of detail, with much less text. This will probably come to you in the form of bullet points and tables.
All of this should make RigCast much more manageable to produce, and much more entertaining and useful for you to access and digest.
Here’s to the future.
